Daniel Noce & Ramona Nita

Daniel Noce and Ramona Nita are the co-founders of Tango Che Productions. They began dancing and teaching together shortly after they met in Chicago in 2005. Both Daniel and Ramona have been dancing since early childhood. As performers, they are known and admired for their animated and dynamic performance style and the passionate sensual expressiveness they convey in their dancing. They captivate audiences with the natural chemistry they convey on stage. As instructors, they are highly respected for their profound knowledge of technique and movement - a result of years of study, intense training, and teaching experience. Daniel and Ramona are known for their down-to-earth teaching style, which enables their students to progress quickly and consistently.  When teaching, they emphasize fundamental techniques and connection, applicable to all styles of tango.  Their instruction is very detailed with a clear structure that promotes natural advancement. In their group and private lessons they specialize in teaching traditional, close embrace style Argentine tango - or, "milonguero" style - the style most danced and enjoyed in the milongas of Buenos Aires.  Another specialty of theirs is teaching choreography for performance.

Daniel was born in Corrientes, a northern province of Argentina, where he lived until the age of 20. He then moved to Buenos Aires to study at the “Instituto Nacional de Profesoresde Folklore”, where he received his bachelor degree in Teaching Folklore and Native Dances.  Among his tango maestros were the notorious Rodolfo Dinzel, Carlos Copes, Mingo Pugliese, Carlos Rivarola, and Susana Miller; and the colleagues with whom he studied along side include Claudio Villagra, Oscar Mandagaran, Miguel Angel Zotto, Jesus Velasquez, Romina Levin, and others. Daniel remained in Buenos Aires for 10 years and was among the original group of performers who began working in the most prestigious tango theatres and clubs in San Telmo, such as “La Ventana”, “Casa Blanca”, “La Cumparsita”, and others. He also taught tango to adults and worked in the school system teaching children. Later he directed his own company, “Entre Tango Y Tango”, which toured Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay. Aside from tango, Daniel has been Choreographer and Artistic Director in the nationally recognized “Carnaval de Corrientes” since 1995.

Ramona was born in Romania and has lived in the United States since she was an infant. She began to pursue dance at a very early age. Ramona’s elegant and sensual style stems from extensive study of modern dance, jazz, ballet, and gymnastics in her earlier years. She attended a performing arts high school, where she further developed her skills in concert dance. At the age of 16 she began performing professionally with the Joel Hall Dance Company. In her late teens, her interests expanded to include Latin and ballroom dancing, which she taught for a couple of years. Soon Ramona realized that her true calling was the Argentine Tango which has superseded her other professional dance goals. She learned tango from Daniel Noce, Rodolfo Dinzel, Susana Miller, DNI Academy, Omar Vega, Pablo Veron, Claudio Villagra and Romina Levin. Aside from dance, Ramona pursued formal education in languages, business and international relations. She graduated from  Lake Forest College in 2001 and from the University of Kent, in England and Brussels in 2004.

Daniel and Ramona have been invited to perform and teach workshops throughout the US and in Latin America and Europe. In addition to their independent work, Daniel and Ramona are members of the Los Angeles based Otero Dance Company, which tours the U.S. with the “Rhythm and Passion” show. They have also been consistently invited to perform in the stage productions of the annual Chicago International Tango Festival - most recently, "Argentina Tango On Stage".  In December 2009, they opened their own studio, "Esquina Tango", in Chicago.
